A Personal Dental Home for Every Stage of Life
Choosing a dentist means choosing the people who will help you understand changes, make decisions, and protect your health over time. Scanlan Family Dentistry welcomes children, adults, seniors, and related family members to one independently owned North Raleigh practice.
From your first call through the discussion with Dr. Scanlan, our goal is to keep each step organized, unhurried, and clear. We reserve time for the visit you actually need, explain financial expectations before treatment, and answer questions without pressuring you into care.

Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Scanlan Family Dentistry is accepting new patients for routine, urgent, family, restorative, and other appropriate dental care.
How do I request my first appointment?
Call or text (919) 977-1870, email info@scanlanfamilydentistry.com, or submit the website request form. The visit is confirmed after the care team contacts you.
What happens at a typical first visit?
Most routine new patients begin with required diagnostic X-rays, followed by a cleaning when appropriate, and a comprehensive examination with Dr. Scanlan. Read the complete first-visit guide.
Do you accept dental insurance?
We work with many private dental plans as an out-of-network provider and generally file claims as a courtesy. Benefits and payments remain subject to the terms of the individual plan. Read how fee-for-service dentistry works.
Where can I find the current forms?
The Patient Forms page links directly to the current adult and child registration forms, financial policies, HIPAA notice, records-transfer authorization, and retention guide.
What if I need urgent dental care?
Call the office promptly. New patients with urgent concerns are offered an appropriate appointment within two business days whenever possible. Do not rely on a general web form for urgent help. Review our emergency dental care guidance.
Let’s Plan Your Visit
