Where Should You Begin?

Routine exams and cleanings usually begin with preventive care. A broken tooth, discomfort, swelling, or a missing tooth belongs in restorative care. Questions about whitening, alignment, tooth shape, or smile appearance belong in cosmetic care.

You do not need to diagnose the problem. Our care team can help you choose an appointment type, and Dr. Scanlan will explain the findings before recommending treatment.

Dental Services Questions

Where should I begin if I am unsure which service I need?

Tell our care team what you have noticed or what you hope to address. We can help arrange an appropriate evaluation without asking you to choose a treatment first.

Do you provide preventive care for children and adults?

Yes. We provide preventive care for children, teens, adults, and seniors, with recommendations based on individual needs and risk.

Can Dr. Scanlan repair and replace teeth?

Yes. Restorative options include fillings and crowns for damaged teeth, along with bridges, dentures, and restorations placed on dental implants.

Are there any services you do not perform at your office?

Some care is best provided with a trusted specialist, including endodontic treatment such as root canals, traditional orthodontics, complicated impacted third-molar extractions, and other advanced procedures. We explain the recommendation, coordinate the referral, and remain part of your care before, during, and after specialty treatment.

Will I receive treatment at the first appointment?

The first priority is understanding your concern and evaluating your dental health. The timing of treatment depends on your needs, the recommended plan, and the available schedule.

Where can I explore options for changing the appearance of my smile?

Our cosmetic dentistry guide introduces options for concerns about tooth color, shape, and alignment. Dr. Scanlan can explain which options fit your oral health and goals.
